Hang-Outs
Ever have a time in your life where you are just sitting on the couch feeling as though there is nothing to do? Did you know that there are different things you can do no matter what time of day it is? You don’t have to just sit on the couch and watch re-runs of shows that have been playing all day long! Just open your door and there are tons of possibilities that will be right before your eyes. The Spring semester is the worst time to sit around on your butt because there is so much to do. Looking for something to do with your friends? Here are a couple ideas that you can use to occupy your time.
On Campus
Game Center – The Manwaring Center (MC) is one of the biggest buildings on campus and in it you can find endless ways to spend your days throughout the semester. One of the most popular places in the MC is an area on the 1st floor located by the Freshens. Here, there are several tables including a pool table, ping-pong table, air-hockey table, and dozens of board games to choose from. There's usually always a group of people there, so meet up with your friends or go solo--either way you'll have a good time.

Off Campus-
Complex Parking Lot and Kiwi Loco – When the skies are clear and the sun is shining, head over to Wal-Mart and pick up sidewalk chalk. From there, find some clean asphalt and unleash you inner Picasso. Some of the best places to draw can be in your apartment complex's parking lot, or the public sidewalks around town. If you decide to draw in front of businesses, just make sure that it's okay to do so. When you and your friends decide you've had your daily dose of creative expression, take a trip to Kiwi Loco and dish yourself up some frozen yogurt. This and the AC inside Kiwi Loco will take the heat off the day.

Car Wash – When the snow has finally all melted and the cold weather has left Rexburg, your car will probably need a bath. Invite a couple of your friends over and drive on down to the car wash located behind The Willows apartment complex. When you arrive, feed the machine some change and start washing. If you hose happens to slip and you spray some of your friends, be prepared for an all out water fight! Hopefully you remembered towels and wore clothes you don't mind getting wet.

Porter Park and Smith Park – Rexburg has two beautiful public parks for everyone to use, and the Spring semester is one of the best times to use them. The weather is nice and everything is green. However, unlike the snow, which melts and tends to avoid plaguing students during the spring semester, the wind never ceases. So take advantage of it and go fly kites in either of these parks. Just watch out for power lines!
